Over the last three years, our parish community has been trying to find a way to update our online presence. In 2021, our parish website had not updates its service since we first created a website. It used coding through HTML, and we quickly realized we needed to find a new fix.
In January 2022, we moved to Square by Weebly. It was to be used as a temporary fix, a website platform that was easy to work with, cheap, and a significantly better alternative to our first service. However, this service had limited capabilities and was designed for businesses, not parishes.
This summer, we realized that we needed to take the next level. So, we have begun to use a service called eCatholic. This service has been around for years and has built a name for itself in many other parishes across the country. The website allows us to post news stories, link bulletins, and set up online giving, a service we are hoping to add by the end of this month. It is much easier to use than Square and we hope it will be a great addition to our parish community.
We thank you for your patience over these past three years as we have tried to build up our website and Facebook pages. If you would like to assist with either, please reach out to Tom Canuel, our web manager. We are excited to have a permanent fix to our website upgrades and pray for our parish community to grow. God bless all of you.
